Job summary

ICES: Data, Discovery, Better Health is seeking a PSR Paraprofessional to support clinical programs. The role blends program assistance and client transportation to help participants follow individualized plans and stay engaged.

Based in Wake Forest and Henderson areas, you will drive clients safely, assist with daily activities, document progress, and collaborate with staff and families to promote a respectful, therapeutic environment. Full-time with pay $16.50–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or in educational/rehabilitative settings preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift or assist individuals up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional staff in implementing individualized plans, activities, and goals.
• Provide direct support and supervision to clients during activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Support clients with personal care needs as required.
• Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and participation.
• Communicate effectively with staff, families, and supervisors regarding client needs and progress.
• Safely operate a company vehicle to transport clients to and from the center.
• Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all passengers are properly secured using safety belts or equipment.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and report issues promptly.
