Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Oversee Assertive Community Treatment Team Services that provide advocacy, service coordination, resource procurement, counseling, and support for clients in the program. Ensure high-quality and high-fidelity ACT services are provided to all clients. Responsible for hiring, supervising, and training ACT personnel, as well as the overall management, evaluation, and budgeting of ACT programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Hire, supervise, and train staff members; perform evaluations and initiate disciplinary actions as required.
  2. Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the team, including scheduling and adherence to agency policies. Lead morning meetings and weekly clinical review meetings to ensure all clients’ needs are met. Evaluate client status and match contact intensity to client needs.
  3. Oversee the admission and discharge processes for clients, assign clients to team members, and coordinate referral, intake, and onboarding processes.
  4. Provide clinical supervision to staff and conduct weekly individual supervision sessions.
  5. Review the quality and quantity of services provided and ensure documentation meets standards.
  6. Perform crisis intervention and assistance as needed.
  7. Conduct regular staff meetings to address concerns and updates.
  8. Ensure client records meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  9. Collaborate with the Core Service Agency and community organizations to promote the agency’s mission and secure resources.
  10. Communicate with community agencies regarding client concerns and needs; attend community meetings as required.
  11. Ensure documentation in charts complies with regulations and requirements.
  12. Monitor medication and health concerns for all clients in the ACT program.
  13. Manage the program’s budget, billing, and grant expenditures.
  14. Maintain expertise in the ACT philosophy and uphold high fidelity to the ACT Model of Care.
  15. Ensure service quality aligns with high fidelity to the ACT Model.
  16. Participate in on-call duties, providing on-site response during nights and weekends.
  17. Maintain an efficient, clean, and well-operated ACT office.
  18. Develop departmental policies as needed.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Promote client well-being (clinical and physical)
  • Engage with outside agencies as required
  • Oversee program billing and budget management
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or related field. At least three years of experience working with adults with chronic mental illness. License in a Mental Health Profession in Maryland required.

Skill Requirement: One to six months on-the-job training required for efficient job performance.

Job Requirements: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. At least two years of supervisory experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

COMMENTS

Must exhibit knowledge of mental health treatment.
