Job summary

Heartland Family Service seeks a Program Director II (clinical) for the Peer Center across Nebraska and Iowa. The role focuses on strategic leadership of Peer Support services, staff supervision, and cross-state program cohesion to strengthen trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices.

Responsibilities include program oversight, regulatory compliance, staff development, and collaboration with healthcare and community partners.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work/Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
Five years’ experience in field.
Two years of supervisory experience.
Ability to travel between Iowa and Nebraska service locations.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic program leadership. Offer vision, direction, and oversight for Peer Support services and Peer Centers across Iowa and Nebraska.
Lead and develop staff. Provide administrative leadership and supervision to Peer Support program leadership and staff.
Build a cohesive cross-state program. Ensure consistency while meeting state-specific regulations and documentation requirements.
Monitor program practices for compliance with state, federal, Medicaid, and organizational requirements.
Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered Peer Support service delivery.
