Job summary

The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Tufts University seeks a Clinical Professor in small animal internal medicine to provide clinical nephrology and urology services, teach and supervise students, and engage in clinical research.

Responsibilities include collaboration with ACVIM/ACVNU diplomates, after-hours on-call duties, and leadership in interventional endourology and extracorporeal therapies within the Foster Hospital for Small Animals.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent and completion of ACVIM/ECVIM-approved internal medicine residency.
• Board certification in small animal internal medicine required at hire date.
• Experience in interventional endourology is required; extracorporeal therapy is an asset.
• Demonstrated interest and aptitude in teaching and ongoing clinical research are expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical nephrology and urology services as part of a two-clinician team.
• Teach and supervise veterinary students and house officers; engage with referring veterinarians and clients.
• Participate in clinical research and scholarly activity; contribute to program development and quality patient care.
