Job summary

The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Tufts University invites applications for a Clinical Professor in small animal internal medicine to deliver clinical nephrology and urology services as part of a two-clinician service. The successful candidate will work in the Foster Hospital for Small Animals at Tufts University, North Grafton, MA.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent required; completion of an internal medicine residency approved by ACVIM/ECVIM desirable.
• Board certification in small animal internal medicine required at hire date.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interventional endourology is required.
• Experience with extracorporeal therapies is an asset.
• ACVNU fellowship/residency or ACVNU board certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated teaching interest and ability at all levels is required.
• Active engagement in clinical research and scholarly activity is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nephrology and urology services and participate in interventional endourologic procedures.
• Teach veterinary students and house officers; supervise residents and fellows.
• Engage in clinical research and scholarly activity to advance the discipline.
• Share after-hours call duties for emergencies with the team.
