• Ensures safe body mechanics to minimize injury risk for self, staff and patients.
• Delivers care with dignity, empathy, and engagement with patients and families.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Adjusts therapy based on patient response and evidence.
• Educates patients, families, and other providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and care outcomes.
• Selects appropriate examination methods based on chief complaint and history.
• Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies.
• Screens patients for therapy needs and determines continuation of care as appropriate.
• Supervises support personnel and provides feedback on care delivery.
