Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our onsite team at Cayuga Wellness Center in Ithaca, NY. You will assess patient goals, develop treatment plans, and guide patients through exercises and modalities to improve function and pain management.

Responsibilities include discharge planning, home exercise program design, and documentation in the EMR. A valid NYS PT license and CPR certification are required; pelvic health certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy program (Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate).
• Current NYS Physical Therapy license.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience: Prior experience preferred. Pelvic health certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifying patient's goals and needs and developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians or as prescribed.
• Administers manual therapy and guides patients in therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices.
• Administers physical therapy modalities for pain control and functional improvements.
• Evaluates effects of treatments and recommends adjustments.
• Completes discharge planning by consulting with patient, family, and physicians.
• Designs home exercise programs and provides guidance to patients and caregivers.
• Documents patient care and charges in the EMR.
