Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a pharmacy technician to prepare medications for pharmacist approval and to manage unit doses for Pyxis dispensing. The role includes accurate labeling, aseptic IV preparation where applicable, and maintaining documentation per USP standards.

The candidate will also monitor inventory, restock Pyxis units, and ensure formulary accuracy. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are required, with preference for prior pharmacy or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician or hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.
• General computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare medications for pharmacist approval with correct dosage, form, strength, and quantity.
• Maintain stock levels and place orders to ensure adequate pharmacy supplies.
• Triages questions and provides excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Document all unit dose, compounded, and dispensed medications per USP guidelines.
• Provide administrative support for the Pharmacy department and manage schedules and billing records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
