Job summary

Option Care Health Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or similar role to support licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining smooth pharmacy operations.

The role focuses on accurate prescription processing, patient communication, and reliable inventory management. Responsibilities include reviewing refill requests, preparing medications, handling equipment maintenance, and ensuring a clean, compliant site.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Able to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting, and aligning text).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: formatting cells as currency, sorting).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: editing slides).

Responsibilities

  • Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to policies.
  • Assist with preparing and dispensing medications & supplies.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of defects.
  • Collect and maintain basic patient information required for planning materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
  • Provide a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
  • Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials; stock and store new supplies; review expiration dates; identify shortages.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; organize supplies.
