Nevada Heart and Vascular Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to accurately fill medication orders and interface with the patient care team, pharmacies, insurers, and infusion centers. This role emphasizes precise interpretation of physician orders to ensure high-quality patient care and reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor with guidance from the Nurse Manager.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nevada State Pharmacy Technician license approved by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• General computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email).
• Detail-oriented with analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication to interact with patients, staff, physicians, pharmacists, and management.

Responsabilidades

• Refill patient medication orders in the EMR or by fax as prescribed by the physician.
• Submit prior authorizations to insurance to ensure drug coverage.
• Communicate with patients regarding refill requests and coverage.
• Submit infusion medication documents, demographics, and medical records to infusion centers.
• Answer multi-line phone lines from patients, staff, and external sources.
• Read and interpret physician orders and update patient records.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings as needed.
• Provide sample medications under physician direction.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
