Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Community Directorate Pharmacy Service within our Nithsdale Cluster. You will support medicines management in GP practices and work as part of a friendly team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff within primary care.

The role focuses on clinical pharmacy services, medicines reconciliation, patient reviews and queries, with visits to patients at home as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with current status.
• Ideal candidates are nearing completion of the Technician qualification.
• Experience in medicines management is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medicines reconciliation within the GP hub.
• Deliver face-to-face clinics in GP practices.
• Carry out medication reviews with patients.
• Respond to medicines-related queries from patients.
• Assess patient ability to manage medicines, including home visits.
