Job summary

Option Care Health is a leading home infusion provider seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support accurate pharmacy operations under a licensed Pharmacist. Compliance with policies and state regulations is required.

The role includes prescription processing, inventory maintenance, patient data collection, and site upkeep, with opportunities for training and career growth within the organization. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, at least 6 months of relevant experience, and the ability to stand

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline.
• Process new drug prescriptions.
• Counts, pours, & mixes pharmaceuticals.
• Packages products into appropriate containers and labels containers.
• Provides training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's.
• Ensures accurate inventory levels through validation & reporting of received incoming supplies.
• Develop purchase orders to address shortages.
• Validate removal of expired supplies/materials.
• Schedule deliveries.
• Collect & maintain patient data & information for assessments.
• Respond to non-routine patient questions & requests.
• Clean & sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Clean & organize supplies.
