Job summary

Lakeland Regional Health in Central Florida is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to provide expert pharmacotherapy care within their specialty areas. The role includes rounds with the multidisciplinary team, protocol development, and cost-conscious drug therapy management.

Minimum requirements include a PharmD, eligibility for Florida licensure, and ASHP residency experience. Board certification in pharmacotherapy or specialty is preferred; PGY1 with 2+ years or PGY2 with 3–4 years is

Qualifications

PharmD from ACPE-accredited school or equivalent.
Eligible for Florida Pharmacist license.
Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or specialty preferred.
Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency with at least two years in area of specialty, or equivalent.
PGY2 residency or 3–4 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and participate in rounds as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Develop and implement evidence-based drug therapy protocols to maximize patient outcomes.
Participate in cost containment, medication safety, and quality improvement efforts.
Educate pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff on drug policies and therapeutics.
Engage in formulary reviews, monograph development, and committee activities (e.g., P&T).
Support education of residents, students, and staff per LRH guidelines.
