Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a clinically trained Pharmacist to join as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in a float role. You will work across inpatient areas including ICU, floors, and the Emergency Department, focusing on safe, effective medication use and collaborative care.

The role includes training students and residents, with hours varying by area coverage to support optimal patient outcomes and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Minimum two (2) years of pharmacist experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
• Active Missouri pharmacist licensure with MTS certification in good standing; completion of an ACPE-accredited residency or BPS certification.

Responsibilities

• Formulary reviews, medication and lab monitoring, and interventions.
• Training and education of students, residents, and healthcare team members.
• Inpatient coverage across floors including ICUs and the ED; float role with shifting hours.

Position Summary

Optimizes care for patients by promoting a collaborative, safe, and effective team environment with other key stakeholders. In the Specialist’s area of expertise, they perform formulary reviews, medication and lab monitoring, and actively perform interventions. The Pharmacy Specialist also helps with training and education of students, pharmacy residents, and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate. We are looking for a clinically trained Pharmacist to work as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in a float role. This role will cover all inpatient areas including but not limited to inpatient floors, ICUs, and the Emergency department. The hours will change based on the area being covered at that time.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years of pharmacist experience in an inpatient setting (preferred)
• Licensure: Active licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Missouri with medication therapy services (MTS) certification, in good standing, required. Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Residence OR Certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
