Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem seeks a pharmacist leader to direct and manage central pharmacy and OR operations, supervising technicians, interns and volunteers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role serves as a medication therapy resource, handling drug information, staff training, provider questions, and Pharmacy Protocols, while evaluating orders to promote optimal outcomes. Education: accredited College of Pharmacy; BS or Doctor of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages central pharmacy and/or OR satellite workflow including oversight of technicians, interns and volunteers ensuring the accuracy of their work in accordance with departmental procedures and Federal and State regulations.
• Serves as medication therapy resource for activities such as drug information, training of staff, provider questions, and Pharmacy Protocols.
• Evaluates medication orders for appropriateness by taking the whole patient picture into account to promote optimal outcomes.

Education

Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Experience:2+ years inpatient experience preferred

License: Current active licensure as a Registered Pharmacist with Medication Therapy Services designation in the State of Missouri.
