Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in Connecticut seeks a Pharmacy Specialist to plan and implement drug-use strategies, improve medication safety, and ensure formulary compliance across clinical areas.

The role requires a Pharm.D. or equivalent, CT Pharmacist license, 3+ years clinical experience, and experience in quality improvement, data analysis (Excel/Access), and committee participation. You will mentor staff and collaborate with clinical leadership to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S., M.S., or Pharm. D. degree.
• Completion of a residency in hospital pharmacy is highly desired but not required.
• Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience with formulary/access evaluation and project management.
• Active Connecticut Pharmacist License.
• Experience in leading or participating in medical committees and quality improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Enhance clinical quality and safety of medication use process.
• Manage Pharmaceutical Expense for Target Therapies and/or Clinical Areas.
• Mentor and develop pharmacy staff.
• Serve as Clinical and Operational resource to assigned areas.
• Develop educational initiatives.
