Job summary

Sanford Health Weston facility seeks a Pharmacist to review prescriptions for accuracy, advise on interactions and dosing, and dispense medications in a retail/clinic setting. The role includes counseling patients and monitoring therapy outcomes across multiple locations.

The pharmacist will interpret provider orders, assist in problem solving, and supervise pharmacy staff as needed while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Must have thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
• Hospital experience or residency preferred (in a medical center or institutional setting).
• License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and to ascertain needed ingredients.
• Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• In a retail/community setting, dispense prescription and non-prescription medications to patients.
• Counsel patients on administration, side effects, storage, and expected response.
• Monitor health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy; participate in technology adoption.
• Provide oversight for pharmacy services and support personnel as needed.
