Job summary

Sanford Health in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Pharmacist to join Black Hills Surgical Hospital. The role involves reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, advising on interactions, and dispensing medications in a hospital/retail setting with patient counseling.

You will monitor patient progress and ensure safe, effective pharmacotherapy. The position requires PharmD, licensure in good standing, and hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
• Hospital experience or residency preferred.
• License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, ascertain needed ingredients and evaluate suitability.
• Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage.
• Dispense prescription and non-prescription medications in a retail/community setting.
• Oversee pharmacy services and supervise staff as needed.
