Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support quality measures for Essential Plan and Medicare populations in Connecticut. You will conduct provider and member outreach, address gaps in care, and assist with adherence strategies while staying current with literature and best practices.

The role includes supervising Pharmacy Residents, ensuring CMS/NYSDOH compliance, and collaborating with internal teams to improve digital outreach and patient engagement.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist with a state license in good standing.
• Clinical communication in writing and speaking that is clear, concise, and professional.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals and billing practices.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives to resolve gaps in care through outreach to providers and members.
• Ensure recommendations align with the latest guidelines or supported by clinical compendia.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support to pharmacy technicians during outreach and medication adherence efforts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, IT, and Analytics to develop strategic digital member outreach channels.
• Identify and resolve same-day member grievances per policies.
• Oversee and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Precept Pharmacy Residents and Students.
• Ensure clinical criteria comply with CMS and NYSDOH.
• Research drug information to maintain knowledge of therapies and diseases.
• Review monthly reports and provide ideas for improvements.
