Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a hospital pharmacist to manage distribution, compounding, dispensing and medication therapy review across all age groups. The role emphasizes patient-focused care and collaboration with staff to provide optimal medication therapy.

Requirements include graduation from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD or higher and GA Pharmacist licensure. Prior hospital experience is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience required. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for diverse age groups and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel and ensures competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient-focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
