Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a hospital Pharmacist to contribute to comprehensive pharmaceutical services across the Medical Center, including compounding, dispensing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and patient dosing. You will verify orders, ensure accuracy, and support clinical decision-making with healthcare teams.

The role requires licensure as a Pharmacist in Illinois and a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy with hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois (IDFPR) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Experience in hospital/pharmacy operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for accuracy and QA.
• Retrieve information on chemotherapy agents as needed.
• Knowledge of hyperalimentation and IV admixtures.
• Ensure proper narcotic control and inventory.
• Handle investigational drugs; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Enter orders accurately into the computer and ensure current MARs.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals about orders and patient care.
• Oversee technicians in Omnicell operations and dosing services.
