Job summary

Ballad Health in Johnson City, TN seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to deliver clinical pharmacy services across the Scope of Care, under pharmacy leadership. The role includes providing pharmacotherapy information to physicians, patients and families, and participating in staff education and training.

The pharmacist will support Ballad Health Mission and engage in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to safe and effective medication use across age groups from neonate to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by ACPE.
• PharmD degree desirable but not required.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or 2+ years of clinical experience in a similar setting may be substituted.
• 5+ years of clinical/clinical-focused experience acceptable in lieu of residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services and pharmacotherapy information to healthcare providers and patients.
• Educate and train staff pharmacists, residents and students as assigned.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives to improve care quality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication with physicians, nurses and pharmacists.
