Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston is seeking a pharmacist to join the hospital Pharmacy team. You will interpret and verify medication orders, provide drug information to clinicians and patients, and supervise technicians to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

The role requires MA licensure and a Doctorate in Pharmacy is preferred; PGY-1 residency or 1–3 years hospital experience is desirable. A sign-on bonus is available and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current MA Pharmacy License required.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required.
• Doctorate degree in Pharmacy preferred.
• PGY-1 Residency or 1-3 years relevant hospital experience required.
• 1-3 year(s) of work-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and verifies medication orders within safety guidelines.
• Documents and communicates pertinent information with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Checks and verifies sterile and non-sterile medications.
• Provides drug information to patients, nurses, physicians, trainees and other staff.
• Supervises, mentors and assists in training pharmacy technicians, interns and new pharmacists.
• Supports departmental workgroups to improve process and quality outcomes.

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy

Doctorate degree in Pharmacy

PGY-1 Residency or 1-3 years relevant hospital experience

Current MA Pharmacy License

BPS preferred
