Job summary

Unitas is seeking a licensed pharmacist to safely dispense medications and provide clinical expertise across pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and immunizations. You will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting a patient-facing clinical program.

This role involves supervising technicians, reviewing orders, counseling patients, and contributing to medication safety.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.
• Active licensure in Nevada and Utah required.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions.
• Flexible in a dynamic working environment.
• Proficient with learning new computer systems and multiple monitors.
• 0–2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders; compound, label, and dispense medications safely.
• Monitor drug therapies and provide patient counseling and clinical intervention recommendations.
• Direct and verify pharmacy technicians’ workflow, medication preparation, and order accuracy.
• Maintain compliant records, manage controlled substances, and uphold all state/federal regulations (Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA).
• Support immunizations, wellness screenings, and other patient-facing clinical services.
• Educate healthcare staff, students, and interns through training and participation in clinical programs.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-controlled pharmacy environment while contributing to team goals.
