Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Maintain required continuing education per State Board requirements.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, independent thinking and sound judgment.
• Able to communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Profile medication orders and ensure policy compliance.
• Dispense medications and counsel outpatient customers as applicable.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to resolve order discrepancies.
• Review allergies, interactions, dosing, and appropriateness to ensure safe therapy.
• Supervise compounding, injectable medications, and aseptic preparation per standards.
• Document drug information, errors, interventions, and required records.
• Participate in performance improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
