Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
• Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice is required.
• Strong data entry and computer skills with Windows applications; ability to retrieve patient information.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates physician orders based on clinical assessment including allergies, age, renal function and dosing guidelines.
• Ensures safe, accurate preparation and dispensing of medications including sterile products and investigational drugs.
• Manages drug therapy to optimize patient outcomes with patient education and drug information.
• Maintains licensure/certifications through continuing education and compliance with regulations.
• Adapts communication and services to patient population and privacy standards.
