Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Float Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist for day shift, full-time engagement to support multiple specialty areas including IV room and residency programs. The role focuses on supervising daily operations, ensuring optimal patient care, and maintaining policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate has hospital clinical experience, PGY-1/PGY-2 training or equivalent experience, active Oklahoma pharmacist license, and relevant certifications

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowship AND Completion of an accredited PGY-2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field).
• OR Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship AND 3 + year's clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed).
• OR 5 + year's clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e. sterile compounding, etc .
• BLS certification .
• ALS/ ACLS certification .

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
• They will provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality , and ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented, documented, and followed.
• The operations s pecialist coordinates upgrade testing activities, education , and serves as the subject matter expert for the operational specialty practice area.
• Coordinate and serve as a subject matter expert and provide training as needed for operational specialty practice areas.
• Must serve as the preceptor for pharmacy students or residents.
