Job summary

Hillcrest Healthcare System in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Float Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist for day shift, full-time. The role oversees daily operations in operational specialty areas within the pharmacy and provides patient-focused pharmaceutical care as needed.

Qualifications

• Hospital clinical pharmacy experience required.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowship AND Completion of an accredited PGY-2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field).
• OR Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship AND 3+ years’ clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed).
• OR 5+ years’ clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – e.g. sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification.
• ALS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department and provide pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
• Provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality, and ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented, documented, and followed.
• Coordinate upgrade testing activities, education, and serve as the subject matter expert for the operational specialty practice area.
• Coordinate and serve as a subject matter expert and provide training as needed for operational specialty practice areas.
• Must serve as the preceptor for pharmacy students or residents.

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowshipANDCompletion of an accredited PGY-2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field).
  • ORCompletion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowshipAND3+year’s clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed).

Preferred Job Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
