Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking licensed pharmacists to join a fast-paced, clinically oriented team in Missouri. You will work in inpatient and outpatient settings within central or satellite pharmacies and participate in an integrated practice model that emphasizes patient care and safety.

The role offers a 7 on 7 off schedule with 9 PM to 7 AM shifts, plus a robust benefits program and opportunities for professional growth within a top academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Assess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria.
• Ensure prompt and accurate medication preparation and dispensing.
• Prevent, direct and resolve medication-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages workflow including oversight of technicians, interns and volunteers ensuring accuracy of their work.
• Participates in departmental meetings and on committees at the health service organization.
• Serves as medication therapy resource for drug information, staff training, transitions of care.
• Evaluates medication orders for appropriateness with regard to patient condition and concomitant therapies.
• Documents all activities and communication as appropriate.
• Recognize opportunities and propose solutions to maximize efficiency and safety.
