Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Georgia to ensure safe and effective medication use across facilities. You will evaluate orders, supervise dispensing, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care.

Experience in long-term care is preferred, with background in hospital or retail settings considered an asset. Compensation includes health, dental, and vision coverage, plus retirement benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia is required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Hospital and/or retail pharmacy experience or related medical field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians or facilities staff when necessary.
• Maintain customer databases with medical history and clinical data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team regarding medication issues.
• Supervise preparation of medicines and maintain controlled substances registry.
• Maintain proper security conditions for medications and perform on-call duties as needed.
