Job summary

Long Term Care experience preferred; hospital or retail pharmacy background is valued. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Hospital and Retail pharmacy experience valued.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Computer skills.
• Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians/staff when needed.
• Maintain customers’ database with medical history and clinical data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and healthcare team regarding queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal/stock control.
• Maintain proper security for medications.
• Perform on-call duties when required.
