Job summary

Solara Specialty Hospitals Harlingen is seeking a Pharmacist to collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy, dispense medications, and support quality and regulatory initiatives.

You will interpret orders, supervise technicians, ensure aseptic technique, and monitor drug safety for adult and geriatric patients within this LTAC setting. The role requires a valid state Pharmacist license, BCLS certification, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree.
• Current state license in good standing.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum three months of pharmacy experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA and state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders and dispenses medications per standards.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and maintains aseptic technique.
• Participates in performance improvement plans and quality initiatives.
• Provides drug information to staff and assists with policy development.
• Ensures safety for adult and geriatric patients.
