Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Licenses: Valid WV Pharmacist license.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or to be obtained.
• Experience: One to two years of clinical pharmacist experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration with hospital teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to staff, patients, and students.
• Documents interventions for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy before order entry.
• Ensures proper controlled substances handling and compliance with laws.
