Qualifications

• PGY-1 Residency or 1-3 years hospital experience are required.
• BPS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and ensures quality of pharmacy and drug distribution services.
• Reviews and verifies medication orders considering patient-specific parameters.
• Documents and communicates with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
• Checks and verifies sterile and non-sterile medications.
• Supervises students, technicians, and residents within the pharmacist area of practice.
• Promotes patient safety by reporting medication-related events and near misses.
• Participates in onboarding and training of new hires and pharmacy students.
