Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control and investigational drugs.
• Dose medications according to physician orders and ensure accurate entry in the system.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Participate in planning, procedures, and education to maintain high pharmacy standards.
• Operate HBOC and Omnicell systems and supervise technicians.
• Monitor adverse drug reactions and ensure proper storage and dispensing guidelines.
