Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, profile orders, monitor therapies, and offer drug information within a hospital setting. The position requires licensure in Florida and may prefer PharmD and BCPS credentials.

Applicants should be proficient with hospital information systems (Cerner) and Pyxis, and demonstrate strong overall computer literacy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) from an accredited institution.
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution, preferred
Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida
Board Certification (BCPS), preferred
Knowledge of hospital based information system, reporting features, and Microsoft Office
Strong proficiency in computer literacy including but not limited to MS Office, Pharmacy clinical systems (Cerner), and Pyxis technologies, preferred

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care primarily through service excellence, clinical services, distributive functions, education, and a commitment to the department’s mission.
Profile orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies, provide drug information, and initiate or modify drug therapy based on medical staff policies and protocols
