Job summary

ALLY Psychiatry Career Page seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team. You will receive and fill prescriptions, counsel patients, and coordinate with medical professionals to optimize medication therapy.

You will verify insurance coverage, manage billing inquiries, maintain a clean reception area, and secure authorizations and referrals to support patient access to care. ACPE-accredited education and Alabama licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from ACPE-recognized pharmacy college.
• Emergency contraception training course approved by ACPE or equivalent program.
• Valid state pharmacist license - Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and filling prescriptions.
• Communicating with medical professionals about patients and their medications.
• Listening to patients’ reports of symptoms and provide suggestions for over-the-counter medications.
• Accurately measuring, preparing and distributing proper medications to the patients that need them.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointment.
• Ensure accuracy in patient billing and coding information.
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area.
• Responsible for obtaining authorizations and referrals, addressing billing inquiries and collections.
