You will consult with patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications and potential drug interactions, providing essential drug information as needed. You will oversee pharmacy technicians, direct workflow, and maintain complete records to support efficient service.

Qualificações

• Must possess strong knowledge of Pharmacy Services; knowledgeable and skilled in current practice concepts of pharmacy practice settings; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards
• Proven ability to interpret prescription and medication orders accurately and ensure safe patient care

Responsabilidades

• Interprets prescription and medication orders completely and accurately and completes the necessary steps for clarification and validation for safe and effective patient care in compliance with state/federal rules and regulations
• Monitors drug utilization information and detects potential drug interactions, overlaps, over and dosing and other unique situations
• Demonstrates professional judgment in advising and counseling patients and healthcare team
• Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use
• Oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff including directing work flow and assurance of completion of duties
• Maintains accurate and complete records and files of all dispensing transactions of legend and controlled drugs, including wholesale transactions

Formação académica

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

BLS, CPR

Active State Pharmacist License in good standing
