The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI seeks a Pharmacist to interpret, evaluate, prepare and dispense medications under supervision, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with care teams and supervise technicians to maintain high standards of practice.

Responsibilities include drug information provision, interventions with prescribers, and participation in rounds and quality initiatives. Licensed pharmacist in RI required, with PGY and board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree (PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy) from an accredited college.
• Current unrestricted Rhode Island pharmacist license prior to start.
• BLS/ACLS certifications within 120 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Receive and review medication orders for completeness and appropriateness.
• Intervene with prescribers to optimize therapy and cost effectiveness.
• Provide drug information to prescribers and staff.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure compliance.
• Participate in rounds and quality improvement activities.
• Document interventions and adverse events per protocol.
