Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to provide safe, effective medication therapy and work closely with providers and patients to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, monitoring therapies, delivering drug information, and supervising support staff. Licensure in Michigan or eligibility is required within 90 days; PGY-1/2 training and residency are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Michigan or eligible for licensure.
• Within 90 days of employment, Michigan licensure required; 90-day window to obtain licensure.
• Health-system experience or PGY-1 residency preferred, but not required.
• PGY-2 residency desired for specialty areas (ED, OR, ONC).
• Board Certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy for patients.
• Verify medication orders, monitor therapies, provide drug information.
• Supervise and direct support personnel.
• Collaborate with providers and health professionals to optimize outcomes.
