Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is seeking a PRN Clinical Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy team. This rotating 12-hour shift role supports hospital-wide patient care with pharmacokinetic monitoring, dosing services, and drug therapy consultation.

Requirements include PharmD degree, Colorado Pharmacist license, BLS (ACLS preferred), and at least one year in hospital pharmacy. Spanish bilingual preferred. We offer discounts on bus passes, a 457B plan, and AVH programs.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited school.
• Active Colorado Pharmacist license or ability to obtain before start date.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical pharmacy services and ensure optimal daily patient care.
• Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring, dosing services, and drug therapy consultations.
• Develop and maintain systems and guidelines to promote safe, cost-effective therapies.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a PRN Clinical Pharmacist within the Clinical Pharmacy department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Work Shift:

Rotating - 12 Hours

Compensation Range:

$72.71 - $116.33Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour!

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.


• Unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist (PHA) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date


• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.


• At least one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.


• Experience with EPIC preferred.


• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

Clinical Pharmacists are responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services and verifying that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. Our team provides specialty pharmacy services including pharmacokinetic monitoring, dosing services, and drug therapy consultation services. Clinical Pharmacists facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and guidelines that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of appropriate, safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
