Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Nevada.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology pharmacy, preferably in a bone marrow transplant setting.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy and other medications commonly used in bone marrow therapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other computer systems.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing bone marrow therapy.
• Monitor patients' response to medications and adjust dosages as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on the proper use and potential side effects of medications.
• Conduct medication reconciliation and ensure appropriate drug therapy is prescribed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and make recommendations for treatment adjustments.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in bone marrow therapy and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceutical care and patient confidentiality.
