Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• PGY2 residency plus 2 years relevant experience, or PGY1 plus 4 years, or no residency plus 7 years.
• Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania required.
• Board certification preferred; specialty cert acceptable.
• Demonstrated expertise in pharmacokinetics and evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medication distribution within their area.
• Ensures drug therapy is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient.
• Ensures compliance with hospital formulary and P&T policies.
• Trains interns, technicians, residents and new pharmacists.
• Precepts student pharmacists and pharmacy residents.
