Job summary

Mercy Medical Center seeks dedicated Clinical Pharmacists to join our acute care and transition teams. Pharmacists participate in bedside rounds with providers and nurses, monitor dosing, and oversee antibiotic de‑escalation, rotating through the central inpatient pharmacy.

Requirements include a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, Iowa licensure eligibility, and preferred ASHP residency or two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical services across inpatient and central pharmacy.
• Ensure safe and cost-effective medication management through rounds and collaboration with care teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for appropriateness and safety.
• Oversee preparation and distribution of medications.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy.
