Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist to support patient care across the hospital.

You will provide safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care, oversee technicians, and collaborate with leadership to maintain high-quality services.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship.
• 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire/transfer.
• ALS/ACLS certification within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for Code Blue.

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing and IV admixture.
• Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
• Work under the Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Operations Manager.
• Provide drug information and support to clinical teams.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, an IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

• ALS/ACLS certification (within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue)

Preferred Job Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
