Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital in Summerville, SC is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will ensure safe, effective, evidence-based and cost-conscious medication use, while advocating for patients during rounds.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other care professionals, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and a commitment to quality patient care within our Level II Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license or equivalent credential.
• No travel required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The clinical pharmacist shall practice the profession of pharmacy with the utmost code of ethics demonstrating the organization’s mission and values. The clinical pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, evidence-based, and cost-effective selection and utilization of medications for the patients in which they serve. The clinical pharmacist uses advanced knowledge, skills, and professional judgment in all aspects of his or her work. The clinical pharmacist serves as a patient advocate when planning and implementing pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary rounding team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Adherence to all regulatory and medication safety guidelines are at the forefront of all actions and decisions made within the practice of the clinical pharmacist.
