Job summary

The role requires RD credentials, Texas licensure, and at least one year in a pediatric acute care setting, with strong English communication and education skills for patient and family

Qualifications

• One year experience as Clinical Dietitian in pediatric acute care.
• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition or related area.
• Completion of a CADE-approved didactic program with supervised practice.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) and Texas licensure.

The Clinical Pediatric Dietitian performs primary duties and responsibilities for the nutrition care of pediatric patients throughout El Paso Childrens Hospital. Works closely with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide clinical nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the pediatric patients medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing clinical nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in a cost effective manner; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.Work ExperienceOne year experience as a Clinical Dietitian with pediatric acute care setting experience.Licensure/Registration/CertificationRegistered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic AssociationLicensed Registered Dietitian TexasEducation and TrainingBachelors degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or related area, from an accredited college or university.
