Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a lab science or equivalent per CLIA standards.
• National ASCP certification or eligible for certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare solutions, reagents and stains per standard formulas and procedures.
• Perform complex clinical laboratory tests across sections.
• Type and cross-match blood and ensure donor compatibility.
• Identify abnormal blood factors and coagulation factors.
• Perform routine and specialized hematologic procedures and identify formed elements.
• Isolate microorganisms and conduct rapid pathogen detection.
• Conduct antibiotic susceptibility tests.
• Record and review test results and communicate with physicians.
• Assist in training students and new staff.
• Perform equipment maintenance and preventive checks.
