The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, is seeking a Clinical Pathology Medical Director and Assistant Professor based at the UCH Clinical Laboratory in Aurora, CO.

This permanent full-time position offers leadership of the special chemistry section and participation in the hospital's point-of-care testing program, with responsibilities spanning clinical care, teaching, and research.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) required.
• Board certification or eligibility in CP or AP/CP required.
• Full unrestricted license to practice pathology in Colorado required.

Responsibilities

• Full-time Medical Director overseeing clinical care, administrative management, teaching and research within the UCH Clinical Laboratory and Department of Pathology.
• Interpretation of serum protein electrophoresis, hemoglobin variants, and coagulation tests; advise clinicians on test selection and data significance.
• Publications and resident/fellow training involvement; lead lab stewardship tools and utilization management strategies.
