Job summary

4Path is seeking a Part Time or Per Diem Pathologist to join our team in Burr Ridge, IL. The pathologist will perform medical duties for accurate and timely diagnosis of patient specimens and support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Responsibilities include diagnostic reporting, client and staff consultations, on-site support for clients, adherence to regulatory requirements, and other duties as assigned by the medical director. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• General knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) required.
• Basic computer literacy for running instrumentation and LIS functions.
• High level of attention to detail and reliability.
• Commitment to accuracy and quality in laboratory reporting.
• Training may resemble histotechnologists or medical technologists in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely diagnosis of patient specimens.
• Creation of high quality, accurate laboratory reports.
• Provides consultation to clients, patients and employees.
• Supports all staff in the performance of their duties.
• Works with clients to ensure all needs are met with satisfaction.
• Provides on-site support for various clients as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements of the laboratory.
• Other laboratory duties as assigned by the medical director.
